When money is involved
Most plans are free to join. Money only comes up for ticketed plans - a guided walk, a workshop, a dinner with a fixed cost - where a verified guide set an entry fee. You buy a ticket to reserve your spot.
How your money stays safe
When you buy a ticket, we hold the money - the guide doesn't get it right away. It only releases after the plan happens and the dust settles, so you're covered if something falls through.
- You pay for your ticket.
- We hold it in escrow.
- The plan happens.
- The guide is paid after a 7-day holdback clears.
What the guide actually receives
The price you see is the price you pay. Out of that, a 10% platform fee and a payment processing fee (around 2.9%) are deducted before the guide's share. The guide keeps roughly 87% of the ticket price. Nothing is added on top of the sticker price at checkout.
Refunds and disputes
- Cancel in time: if you cancel before the plan's cutoff, your ticket is refunded.
- Host cancels: if the guide cancels, you're refunded.
- Something went wrong? You can open a dispute within 7 days of the plan. That freezes the payout while it's looked into.
Payments are rolling out gradually. If checkout isn't live for a plan yet, you'll see a clear note and can arrange it with the host directly - we never show a fake payment screen.
